GLOCK’s Small Tour Final victory for Sarah-Denise Fink

This morning saw the first results of a final, during International Show Jumping at the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER Austria, in the CSI1* GLOCK’s Small Tour. Awaiting the 18 participants was an accumulator test with one joker over 1.20 m, where points are awarded for every obstacle cleared penalty-free. To achieve the highest possible total of 65 points, it was necessary to clear nine regular obstacles penalty-free and the extensive joker jump at the end too. Six participants achieved this, so time was to be decisive in the race for victory.

The best time was achieved once more this weekend by Sarah-Denise Fink (AUT/St) in the saddle on Coriana, her 17-year-old daughter of Coriano. In 45.05 seconds, the 17-year-old Styrian qualified for victory in the GLOCK’s Small Tour Final and, following her triumph in the kick-off test on Thursday, was therefore in a position to accept her second GLOCK winning trophy. “Today’s joker jump was very high, but Coriana did it simply superbly. I thank my parents, my trainer and, of course, my fabulous Coriana. This weekend at the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER was simply great.”

Occupying second place was another familiar face. Madée Schuttenbeld (NED) and her KWPN mare Vayrenta finished the test in 46.07 seconds, the result yielding that same placing for the third time this weekend. Friday’s winner, Klara Goess-Saurau (AUT/B), with her experienced Holstein mare Lillifee, was third today (65/46.96). There were additional placings for Austria courtesy of Marie Christine Sebesta (W) with Obora’s Sherbet in fifth place, Carola Lehner (V) with Decibel 3 in seventh place and Ludovica Goess-Saurau (B) with Mylady Mercedes in eleventh place.
