Top rankings for Gerco in Salzburg

Eight hundred horses, three hundred dogs and four days packed with equestrian and canine sport in eight disciplines, that’s the Amadeus Horse Indoors in Salzburg. Staged here every year, alongside the World Cup in dressage and vaulting, there is a 4-star show jumping tournament that always attracts a top-class field. Riders from more than 30 nations travelled to Salzburg for the equestrian and canine festival of Advent, with GLOCK Rider Gerco Schröder also making the trip to Austria with GLOCK’s London, GLOCK’s Cognac Champblanc and GLOCK’s Zaranza.

In both the opening competition over 1.45 m on Thursday (06/09) and the Energie AG Challenge (1.45 m), with 14-year-old GLOCK’s Zaranza, Gerco started with steady rounds. It was in the World Ranking competition for the GPS Trophy (1.50 m) that the Dutchman went on the attack with GLOCK’s Zaranza, easily remaining penalty-free and taking second place.

With 16-year-old GLOCK’s London, Gerco completed an easy, clear round in the basic round of the World Ranking Stall Römerhof Championship in  Salzburg, thereby qualifying for the jump-off in which he took the ninth top placing.
