Christophe Vanderhasselt is the GLOCK’s Perfection Tour winner

Rounding off the third day, it was a top-class affair in the CSI3* GLOCK’s Perfection Tour over 1.55 m. In this, the third of a total of four World Ranking jumping competitions, 29 rider-horse duos were on the list of starters. The test took place over two rounds, with the best eight from round one qualifying for the second round. It was an enthusiastic and well-versed audience that completely filled up the grandstand in the comfortably heated indoor riding arena of the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER Austria, and each participating duo was welcomed to the arena with hearty applause.

Securing the winner’s purse in this selective 3-star jumping test was Christophe Vanderhasselt from Belgium with two magnificent rounds. In the saddle on his Belgian warmblood mare Identity Vitseroel, having taken third place in Gaston GLOCK’s Championat on Friday (02/02), he triumphed in an unbeatable 50.89 seconds.

“My horse has loads of energy and is clearly at ease here, so I’ll be riding the Grand Prix with her tomorrow.”, said the winner. “I’m very happy to have managed a 3-star win on my very first visit to the GHPC Austria and I hope to have the chance to come again.”

Malin Baryard Johnsson from Sweden, Olympic silver medallist of Athens 2004, riding H&M Indiana, daughter of Kashmir van Schuttershof, also executed two penalty-free rounds and lined up in second place with a time of 52.55 seconds. In third place were Marit Haarr Skollerud (NOR) and 11-year-old Nicole, daughter of Unknown (0/53.03), securing a top placing for Norway.

Achieving a top placing for Austria was top-rider Christian Rhomberg from Vorarlberg. Among this distinguished set of starters, he piloted 15-year-old Cornetta 13, daughter of Cornet Obolensky, to seventh place (8/57.23).
