GLOCK riders rock from France to Poland

While GLOCK rider Gerfried Puck excelled this weekend at the CSI3*-W in Warsaw, Poland (7–10 March 2013), Timna Zach and Marcel Schoenmakers continued to take top placings in France during the second week of the CDI3* in Vidauban (7–10 March 2013), and here in Austria the two GLOCK riders Katrin Khoddam-Hazrati and David Tschikof demonstrated their strength in jumping at the CSN-B* in Stadl-Paura (9–10 March 2013).

The second week at the CDI3* in Vidauban got off to a rather stormy start. Gusts of wind and continuous heavy rain made life difficult for the organisers and the riders, with the result that both the vet check and the events had to be postponed for a day. No problem for GLOCK young rider Timna Zach and GLOCK’s Federleicht who then did brilliantly in the Young Riders Team Test on Thursday, finishing third with a score of 69.035%. That day also saw GLOCK rider Marcel Schoenmakers and GLOCK’s Warana competing in the Prix St Georges. The combination was pleased with 67.658%, which put them in fifth place.

It was show time again on Friday for Timna Zach and GLOCK’s Federleicht. In the Young Riders Individual the two concentrated very hard, achieved 67.947% and again claimed third spot. On Saturday Marcel Schoenmakers and GLOCK’s Grandioso first had to wrap up warmly before showing their prowess in the pouring rain. In the end they received 66.438% and landed tenth in the Grand Prix Special.

The GLOCK jumpers were also out to impress at national and international competitions last weekend. Gerfried Puck entered the World Cup event in Warsaw (POL) on GLOCK’s Wibo B and put in a fantastic performance in the arena. He started off looking very relaxed on Thursday (7 March) and posted a clear round to take 13th slot in the first qualifier for the Grand Prix in the 1.45 m class. The next day he secured the same place in the world ranking 1.45 m jump class, which was the second qualifier for the Grand Prix. His great triumph was to follow on Saturday when the GLOCK pair clinched a superb win in the Speed & Music world ranking 1.45 m jump class.

At the same time, the two GLOCK riders Katrin Khoddam-Hazrati and David Tschikof were at the national B* show jumping competition in Stadl-Paura. Katrin Khoddam-Hazrati held her own with a fault-free effort on GLOCK’s Tornado in the standard LM to come second. It proved to be a perfect weekend here in Upper Austria for GLOCK rider David Tschikof. Bringing out the best in his two rides GLOCK’s Zamuro and GLOCK’s Timo, he went clear in the 1.10 m class of the standard A on Saturday to finish fifth (GLOCK’s Timo) and seventh (GLOCK’s Zamuro) respectively. He again saddled the Westphalian gelding for the standard A on Sunday and produced a fast, flawless round to fill runner-up spot. His debut on GLOCK’s Landregen in the 1.15 m L style class on Saturday also went off without a hitch, giving him 7.20 points and fourth place.
