GLOCK’s Youngster Tour victory for Gregory Wathelet

Twenty-three riders took advantage of the opportunity to prepare their seven to eight-year-old youngster hopes for their lives as show jumping horses in the world of international tournament competition by taking part in the CSIYH1* GLOCK’s Youngster Tour in the exquisite setting of the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER Austria.

The best young horse today (Saturday 15/06/2019) was the eight-year-old Holsteiner stallion Carleyle, putting on an outstanding show under number 22 in the world, Gregory Wathelet (BEL). A penalty-free round in 34.90 seconds meant the second victory for Wathelet this Saturday. “I hope I’ll be in the same position tomorrow,” joked the Belgian rider in the winner’s interview.

The just seven-year-old Oldenburg, Calgary 87 (Centadel x Chacco Blue) and “Mr. Speed”, Emanuele Gaudiano, took a magnificent second place (0/35.37 seconds) ahead of Zampano Z, progeny of Zandor Z. Under his breeder and rider Christian Ahlmann (GER), the eight-year-old stallion jumped in magnificent style to third place.

Austria’s Christian Rhomberg also has a talented young horse under his saddle. As last duo on the second day at GHPC Austria, the eight-year-old Holsteiner Ligretto (Larimar 7 x Cassini II) jumped to fifth place among the field of 23 starters under his rider from Vorarlberg.

The final of the CSIYH1* GLOCK’s Youngster Tour begins tomorrow (Sunday, 16/06) at 12:15pm, with free entry.
