Great weekend for GHPC in Styria and Upper Austria

National Young Rider Champion – Glock's young rider Timna Zach won the title on Sunday for the first time in her young career. The Austrian Dressage Champions were decided at the CDN-A* CDNP-A Fernitz-Auhof (Styria) from 31 August to 2 September 2012. Riding Glock's Flirt de Lully, the 20-year-old proved unbeatable in both tests which secured her the Young Rider crown. In the first test, the young Carinthian scored 70.737% putting her marginally ahead of Franziska Fries (Lower Austria) who was hot on her heels with 70.553%. Gaining 71.868% in the second test, however, the up-and-coming talent, who has been working as a trainer at the GHPC for about a month, showed her dominance to take home the championship title. The dream actually started at the Novice test on Friday when the successful pair emerged as clear winners on 72.222%. Timna Zach also delivered a sound performance with the Westphalian mare Glock's Federleicht which she presented in the M class dressage test on Friday. Scoring 69.176%, the pair came fourth.

Last weekend, Glock's Zyrano ridden by Dieter Köfler again proved that the horses from the Glock stables are also a force to be reckoned with in the show jumping arena. At the provincial team championship (BLMM) held during the equestrian festival on Attersee (CSN-A CSN-B CSNP-A) in Kammer-Schörfling (Upper Austria) from 30 August to 2 September 2012, the pair followed a 14th place in the LM class jumping on Thursday by showing what perfection is on Sunday. Seven riders qualified for the jump-off in the last BLMM event. Five of them also had clear rounds here and the second fastest was Dieter Köfler on Glock's Zyrano. This earned Team Carinthia the runner-up title in the BLMM.

At the Equestrian Style 2012 CSI** Holmo S.R.L. in Arezzo/Italy from 31 August to 2 September 2012, GHPC rider Markus Stock was one of the few Austrians competing. In the jumping event over 1.45 m on Saturday, he finally fought his way into the jump-off with Quick Step 6. Only then was there a knockdown and in the end eleventh place for the Carinthian duo.

The next competition for the newly crowned pair from Carinthia is the Alpen-Adria Dressage Trophy which will be staged from 6 to 9 September at the same time as the star-studded four-star dressage event at the Glock Horse Performance Center (Treffen-Villach). "Home advantage for me in my new home in Carinthia," says the Glock rider sponsored by Gaston and Kathrin Glock, looking forward to the competition at the GHPC in Treffen.
