Kornelia Prasek takes victory in the opening event, GLOCK’s Small Tour

CSI3* International Show Jumping is officially open! Riders from 15 nations with 153 horses have come to the four-day Season Opening at the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER, among them two Olympic Champions, three World Champions and a total of 14 European Champions.

Twenty ambitious participants from five nations launched the international Season Opening from 10am in the GLOCK’s Small Tour over 1.15 m. The opening victory in this category B amateur tour went to Germany, represented by Kornelia Prasek and her 14-year-old Holstein mare Classica. The duo completed the course in a penalty-free 59.81 seconds. “I’m pleased to have had the chance to come here again. Of course we’ll continue to give our best here, and hope that things will run this well over the coming days too.”, said the beaming 38-year-old rider at the winner’s interview.

In second and third places in this category A amateur tour jumping competition over 1.15 m were another two female riders. Iris de Paauw (NED) and nine-year-old Eager, son of Douglas, finished in 60.84 seconds to take second place ahead of Carola Steurer-Hautle (SUI) on Limonta, experienced son of Lintas.

Delivering the best result for Austria in GLOCK’s Small Tour was 13-year-old Klara Goess-Saurau (AUT/B). In the saddle on l’Alme Z she took eighth place in a penalty-free 65.95 seconds. Andreas Wessely from Burgenland finished the course in 66.97 seconds, placing tenth ahead of Klara’s twin sister Ludovica Goess-Saurau (AUT/B) on Knightfield Ella.
