Meet the Best at GLOCK’s CSI5* International Show Jumping

“Horses & Stars” is the motto of the CSI5* International Show Jumping at the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE Center Austria. From June 15th till 18th 2017, the equestrian world will follow the events on the generous grounds in the south of Austria with great excitement. Because that’s where Olympic winners, world and European champions as well as 39 riders from the world’s current top 100 will be competing in the show jumping arena. The unmatched ambiance of GHPC Austria will  form the backdrop to four days dedicated to international top sports, here blended with exclusive panache and unforgettable top-class show acts.

Suspense! Six Rio Olympic medal winners lead the list of participants
Show jumping superstars have a very busy tournament agenda in the year of the Gothenburg European Championships. However, all of them will be attending the only CSI5* event in Austria at the GHPC Austria. The list of strong contenders is headed by six medal winners in the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games 2016: Kevin Staut and Roger-Yvest Bost of the French gold medal team will be attending, Daniel Deusser, Christian Ahlmann and Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum were part of the German bronze-winning team, and Peder Fredricson succeeded in winning silver for his Swedish home country in the individual competition.

In the total of 18 tests with prize money totalling 601,000 euros , these stars in the saddle will be competing with London 2012 individual Olympic winner – Steve Guerdat (SUI), London team Olympic winner – Scott Brash (GBR), Ireland’s shooting star Bertram Allen and of course GLOCK Rider Gerco Schröder (NED). The latter will get strong support from his world and European championship team colleagues from Caen 2014 and Aachen 2015, because Maikel van der Vleuten, Jur Vrieling and Jeroen Dubbeldam will also be at the GHPC Austria. Especially at the GLOCK’s CSI5* Grand Prix on Sunday, where 345,000 euros are at stake, suspense will reach its climax at this magnificent venue. In addition to the highly coveted world ranking list points, athletes here also fight for their qualification for the European Championships 2017 and the World Equestrian Games 2018.
