Nations Cup victory for the Netherlands with Edward Gal, Hans Peter Minderhoud and the GLOCK horses at the CHIO in Rotterdam

The CHIO in Rotterdam has more than just charm and flair: it is also home to top-class international sports, and draws star riders from show jumping and dressage. On the schedule here today was the Nations Cup of dressage riders, which GHPC riders Edward Gal and Hans Peter Minderhoud kicked off with an ideal Grand Prix.

Riding GLOCK’s Undercover and earning a total of 74.085%, Edward Gal was outperformed only by Sweden’s Tinne Vilhelmson-Silfven on Don Aurelio. The second-place finish reflected how great the teamwork between the two has become. There was also great news from the second Glock duo, Hans Peter Minderhoud and Glock’s Tango, who finished in fifth place with 72.00%. With sensational performances from Gal and Minderhoud as well as from Imke Schellekens-Bartels on Hunter Douglas Toots (73.489%), and Anky van Grunsven on Salinero (73.404%) and a total of 73.660%, the Netherlands won the team victory ahead of Sweden with 72.113% and Belgium with 71.426%.
