The riding stars in the CDI4*

The dressage elite’s galloping exhibition at Dressage International!
Their homes are the world’s most famous dressage arenas and millions of fans worldwide celebrate them as if they were pop stars. From the 28th till the 31st of May 2015 they will be really close to their fans at Austria’s doubtlessly most beautiful arena: international top dressage riders from around 15 nations will perform enchanting dressage sport at the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER.

Dressage International’s who’s who
Through his riding performances, GLOCK Rider Edward Gal (NED) has succeeded in delighting millions of people around the world and triggering a true dressage hype. He is already a triple World and European champion, won the bronze medal at the Olympic Games 2012 in London and won the accolade of overall second place in the Dressage World Cup. ‘Eddie’ is considered the rock star among the dressage riders. At his GHPC 'home tournament' he will participate with GLOCK’s Voice, one of his parade horses, and launch his title-defending mission in Sunday’s Grand Prix musical freestyle.

The second 'Oranje' GLOCK Rider Hans Peter Minderhoud also wants to cause a sensation in the arena. Besides the Olympic silver medal and one each of gold, silver and bronze European Championship medals, his trophy cabinet also contains the worldwide-coveted World Equestrian Games’ gold medal. At the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER he will bring along sharp-moving, eight-year-old GLOCK’s Casper, as well as his wonderful equine partner GLOCK's Johnson TN. It was with this famous stallion that he succeeded in winning team-bronze at the World Equestrian Games in Caen (2014)!

Bringing Italian flair to the course is surely the best-known policewoman in the dressage scene, Valentina Truppa, with her horse Fixdesign Eremo Del Castegno, also from Italy, and the Danish gelding Fixdesign Chablis. Dressage sport runs in her family - after all, her father Enzo was the first Italian rider at the World Equestrian Games. So it seems hardly surprising that she has already decorated herself with three gold, two silver and one bronze medal at European Championships.

Also participating will be dressage aces from Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Ireland, Poland and the USA. Austria is represented in the 4-Star competitions by Martin Hauptmann (St), Amanda Hartung (T), Alexandra Slanec (W) and local hero Nikolaus Erdmann (K). In CDI3* it is Markus Jungwirth (W), Caroline Kottas-Heldenberg (W) or young Lea-Elisabeth Pointinger (NÖ) who want to finish among the top riders.

Cooking Lounge
German star chef Alfons Schuhbeck will gain be delighting all in his Cooking Lounge at the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER. Here, all tournament guests enjoy free entry. The cooking shows take place on Friday and Saturday at 11am, 2pm and 5pm and on Sunday at 11am and 2pm.

The tournament arena is accessible to all visitors free of charge. In the Kids Lounge and at the Pony Riding area, fun and entertainment are guaranteed for the youngsters. Dogs have been considered too: in the Dog Lounge there’s plenty of sustenance and the very finest of massages (by appointment and subject to availability) for your faithful pets.
