Thomas Frühmann came, saw and won!

A famous name was on the starting list for the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER, but had not been seen in the arena until today. The snow chaos had prevented Thomas Frühmann (Vienna) from getting here, but today he made his first appearance. Austria’s reigning national champion and Alpenspan Team rider came, saw and won the CSI3* 1.45 m world ranking competition in two phases!

Aboard his unique Zorro son The Sixth Sense, the World Champion, Olympic medal holder and current number seven in the Top of Austria rankings came out on top against 46 competitors.

No other rider managed to clear the decisive six obstacles in the second phase as fast as old hand Thomas Frühmann. Following his win in GLOCK’s CSI2* GRAND PRIX last summer, he celebrated his second great success here at the GHPC with a fantastic clear round in a time of 28.57 seconds today. “The Sixth Sense really fought again in the decider, I am very proud of him. Thank goodness I made it to this truly remarkable event in time,” said the worthy winner at his interview with Dorian Steidl.

Thomas shaved a good half second off Briton Laura Renwick’s time. The winner of yesterday’s competition counting for the world rankings and her Selle Français gelding Oz de Breve that jumps so well went flat out again today to claim second place with a clear round in 29.11 seconds.

Anna-Julia Kontio from Finland just missed runner-up slot by one single hundredth. Her 11-year-old Casall daughter, Grey Martini, looked light as a feather jumping over the 1.45 m obstacles; 29.12 seconds without a knockdown meant third in the final standings.
