Birgit Peintner: a second Carinthian win

And she does it again! Birgit Peintner, Carinthia’s "Miss Amateur Tour", placed at every start in the CSI3* in January and fought off the competition again today. In the 1.20 m accumulator for the International Amateur Tour, the reigning regional champion in eventing produced an absolutely sensational round with 11-year-old Gaspari: full marks, fastest time and naturally the win! 

After an annoying mistake in the opening jumping yesterday, she was extremely pleased about the win. “Maybe things go so well because it’s so lovely here and my horses are also good as gold,” she answered beaming at the winner’s interview to the question as to why she always does well here.

Swiss rider Brigitt Bucher-Luthi was also fast. The lady and her Carolus I daughter Jamess Clivia also achieved maximum points and ranked second with a time of 51.29 seconds. Another Austrian pair was happy with third place. Franziska Binder (Carinthia), who also has a reputation for excellent performances in amateur competitions, was only narrowly beaten with her Austrian bred mare Laetizia. Following yesterday’s sixth place, she luckily made it onto the podium today (51.57 seconds).

The other Austrian riders did not let the side down either: Theresa Krießmann (Styria) and her Rochester Bounty were fourth, yesterday’s winner Nika Kulmitzer (Carinthia) on Laptop V. came sixth, Kerstin Mohapp (Styria) on First Sensation M took seventh, Natalie Magyer (Lower Austria) on Corona 2 eighth, Ann-Kathrin Hergeth (Tyrol) and Contact Me Girl placed 10th, Katrin Pfingstl (Carinthia) on Cuela 11th and Markus Rainer (Carinthia) on Chasey Lain 12th.
