Easter dressage parade in Stadl-Paura

Every year Easter in Stadl-Paura is also a celebration of international dressage. Competition at the CDI3* was stiff with 175 horses from 14 nations travelling to Upper Austria. For young hopefuls, the CDIYJP is about selection for the European Championrships and GLOCK young rider Timna Zach had also set her sights on it.

Timna put in a strong performance on GLOCK’s Federleicht, finishing fourth with 69.39% in her first start for the FEI Prix St Georges Team Test Young Riders on Thursday (28 March). Friday saw the combination doing well again to score 68.76% for the next fourth place in the FEI Individual Competition Test Young Riders. It was then clear that they had qualified for the freestyle to music. The GLOCK pair was perhaps a little overeager, but Timna Zach was still happy with 72.325% and sixth spot in their second freestyle together at their second international competition.

GLOCK rider Marcel Schoenmakers competed in the international CDI3* and placed seventh on GLOCK’s Grandioso with a score of 68.77% in the Grand Prix Special on Easter Sunday. “After being out for quite a long time because of injury, I’m really pleased things are looking up now. Of course we still have to practise a lot but no pain, no gain as they say and seventh is a sign we’re on the right track,” said GLOCK rider Marcel Schoenmakers about his placement. The Dutchman went on to prove he is getting better on Easter Monday with 68.42% and the excellent fifth spot on GLOCK’s Warana in the Inter I.
