Great success in Austria, Poland and Sweden

Last weekend the dressage world revolved around one event: the final of the Reem Acra Dressage World Cup in Gothenburg (SWE), which GLOCK rider Edward Gal had qualified for with GLOCK’s Undercover. The GLOCK show jumpers were also away from home, with David Tschikof and Markus Stock doing well at the CSN-B* in St. Margarethen (Carinthia) (26—28 Apr 2013) and Robert and Gerfried Puck competing in the second week of the Spring Tour at the Magna Racino equestrian facility (24—28 Apr 2013). In military, Katrin Khoddam-Hazrati again proved her skills at the CIC** in Sopot (POL) (26—28 Apr 2013).

In Gothenburg’s famous Scandinavium Arena GLOCK rider Edward Gal and GLOCK’s Undercover were nothing short of absolutely amazing. Befitting a World Cup, the dressage final was a display of top performances also reflected in the top marks awarded by the judges. Under the guidance of GLOCK rider Edward Gal, GLOCK’s Undercover has been on a steep learning curve this year and third in the final was the wonderful reward for the work they did together, the trust and willingness to perform that the Ferro son has shown his GLOCK rider. The pair finished the Grand Prix in the Scandinavium Arena with an impressive score of 78.465% for runner-up spot (see GLOCK News of 25 Apr). On Sunday the GLOCK dream team delighted the audience with a brilliant freestyle, 84.446% and third place in the World Cup overall rankings (see GLOCK News of 27 Apr 2013).

GLOCK riders David Tschikof and Markus Stock remained in Carinthia this weekend for the CSN-B* in St. Margarethen where they again took home wins and placings. On Friday GLOCK rider David Tschikof was the gold standard in the standard LM 1.10 m class with a win on GLOCK’s Scolari and second place on GLOCK’s Timo. GLOCK rider Markus Stock also did well in the standard LM 1.25 m class on GLOCK’s Naba Uno, claiming seventh slot. On Saturday David Tschikof secured not one but two of the top three places in the L 1.10 m jump class with second on GLOCK’s Scolari and third on GLOCK’s Timo, not to mention his other third on GLOCK’s Scolari in the standard L 1.10 m class on Sunday.

In Ebreichsdorf (Lower Austria) the competitions in the second CSI3* Magna Racino Spring Tour week started on Wednesday. It kicked off with the young horses and GLOCK rider Robert Puck notched up the first of a whole range of successes for the GLOCK team with a clear round in the Youngster Tour on the six-year-old Stakkato son GLOCK’s Charismatic Boy for 27th place. On Thursday Gerfried Puck went clear on the Castillo son GLOCK’s Chamonix B in the seven-year-old young horse class to take 29th place and in the Diamond Tour he was tenth on GLOCK’s Usrava in the 1.50 m class, the best Austrian in a field of 80 starters.

GLOCK rider Katrin Khoddam-Hazrati showed skill, courage and stamina at the Military in Sopot (POL). Competing on GLOCK’s Chasanova in the CIC2* and GLOCK’s Landregen in the CIC3*, she was highly successful with both horses. After the dressage, Katrin lay in eighth position with GLOCK’s Chasanova and sixth with GLOCK’s Landregen. She put in a tremendous effort in the challenging cross-country phase, moving up into fifth with both horses, and although the competition was stiff pulled off a top performance in the jumping to finish this international event in fourth place with GLOCK’s Landregen in the CIC3* and third with GLOCK’s Chasanova in the CIC2*.
