Superb performances at the Z-Tour in Lanaken (BEL)

Every year hundreds of riders and over 700 horses from all over the world flock to the famous Z-Tour staged as a CSI2* and CSIYH1* (2—4 April) and CSI3* (6—7 April) at three venues in Lanaken (BEL). Among them were two of the GLOCK riders, Robert Puck and Dieter Köfler, who also succeeded in placing several times.

Competing in the 1.35 m jump class with GLOCK’s Zyrano on Tuesday (2 April), GLOCK rider Dieter Köfler produced a clear round to finish sixth. GLOCK rider Robert Puck entered the fray on Wednesday (3 April), also hoping to place. He, too, went clear on GLOCK’s Zaranza for sixth spot in the two-phase 1.40 m jump class before guiding GLOCK’s Alato SR over the 1.40 m obstacles again. It was another flawless ride that secured him runner-up position.

On Thursday (4 April) the GLOCK horses again proved to be in top form. Dieter Köfler on GLOCK’s Zyrano claimed fourth with a double clear in the two-phase 1.40 m jumping and Robert Puck on GLOCK’s Zaranza qualified for the jump-off with an easy clear round in the CSI2* Grand Prix 1.45 m class. Again posting a fault-free performance, he was pleased to take fourth place in this world ranking competition.

The two-day CSI3* then started on Saturday (6 April). Dieter Köfler and GLOCK’s Zyrano again entered the 1.40 m class, finishing on seventh with a clear round. GLOCK rider Robert Puck also presented GLOCK’s Zaranza by Karandasj in another 1.45 m jump class, again produced a fault-free effort and placed 14th. On Sunday there was another highlight in the young horse competition. Ridden by Robert Puck, six-year-old GLOCK’s Charismatic Boy sired by Stakkato showed promise with a relaxed, clear round to finish fourth.

The third week of the CSI3* Toscana Tour in Arezzo (ITA) ultimately saw GLOCK rider Markus Stock and GLOCK’s Lightning gaining another placement in the Silver Tour’s 1.35 m class (ninth).
